Early Childhood

The early childhood years from birth to six years of age a child’s brain is growing and changing at a rapid rate. All of a child’s experiences in this time period will have an impact on their overall development and will help shape their future success

In recognition of the importance of this stage of development, Alberta Education promotes early learning opportunities for children. This allows the opportunity to both identify any possible learning challenges as well as support a child's developmental needs in all areas.

Early Childhood Services (ECS) includes Kindergarten and educational programming for children as young as 2 years 8 months old. - AB Education
