New Principal for Warner School
The Board of Trustees, for The Horizon School Division, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Debbie Fettig as the new principal of Warner School commencing the 2024-2025 school year.
Ms. Fettig began her teaching career in Great Falls, Montana in 2012. After meeting her now husband, Rob, she returned to Canada. She joined The Horizon School Division in 2015, and has taught at Vauxhall Elementary School, Dr. Hamman Elementary School, and most recently, D.A Ferguson Middle School.
Ms. Fettig began her educational journey at the University of Central Florida where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a Psychology Minor. She went on to complete her teaching education in Missoula, at the University of Montana, where she obtained a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
In her spare time Debbie enjoys spending time with her husband, Rob and her two stepchildren, Tyson and Adreyana. As a family they like sporting activities, are avid campers, and enjoy the outdoors. Debbie loves yoga, golfing, gardening, and reading a good book. She also enjoys taking her adopted Chihuahua/Pomeranian Mojo, on adventures.
When asked, Debbie stated she is extremely grateful and excited for the opportunity of her new adventure. Under her new role, she will strive to lead with empathy, provide adequate support to teaching staff, and to be an advocate for wellness. She wants to help students realize their full potential while holding them accountable for their own success both in and out
of the classroom. Debbie believes that everyone belongs, everyone has a gift, and she wants to help them realize their personal legend. Having been raised on a farm in a small community, she is ecstatic to become a part of the Warner community while continuing her own professional journey.
Please join us in congratulating Debbie on her new assignment with The Horizon School Division.
