Acting Program Manager for Mental Health Capacity Building (Family Connections)

Posted on Nov 10, 2021

The Board of Trustees for The Horizon School Division is pleased to announce the temporary appointment of Mr. Collin Larsen as the Acting Mental Health Capacity Building (Family Connections) Program Manager commencing January 3, 2022.

Collin is in his 2nd year with the Family School Liaison Program. Previously, in 2019, Collin completed his practicum at Horizon School Division as a Mental Health Capacity Building Wellness Coach. That translated into employment as a full-time Mental Health Capacity Building Wellness Coach in Central Elementary School and LT. Westlake Fine Arts Elementary School.

In serving the community of Taber, Collin cherishes his time working with the students and families in Horizon School Division. He uses his hobbies and interests such as his love of sports and the outdoors to build positive relationships with the students, families, and staff.

In his spare time, he can be found traveling across the world with his girlfriend Dana or at home playing with their two pet cats Maisie and Murphy.

Collin states he looks forward to collaborating with the community of Taber and surrounding areas in a new capacity as the Acting Program Manager for the Family Connections Mental Health Wellness Capacity Building Team.

We welcome Collin to this new temporary assignment and feel Collin is ideally suited to maintaining the great programming already in place.
