New Vice Principal for D.A. Ferguson Middle School

The Horizon School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Greg Bowes as the new Vice Principal of D.A. Ferguson Middle School commencing with the 2022-2023 school year.

Greg’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree and a Bachelor of Education degree with a specialization in Biology from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008. He began teaching in 2009 with the Lethbridge School Division before joining the Horizon School Division as a teacher at W.R. Myers High School, in 2010. Greg has been the Vice Principal for three years at W.R. Myers High School. He has also served as the Athletic Director since 2015, coached numerous athletic teams, and is one of the school's Indigenous Allies. 

Greg and his wife Kendall share their home with two very special cats, Kitkat and Bear. In his spare time Greg enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, camping, travelling, gardening, golfing, fishing; pretty much doing anything that includes being active and outdoors!

When asked about how he feels about his new adventure Greg says, “I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to become a member of the amazing D.A. Ferguson Team, and I am looking forward to continuing my professional growth in a new role and to take on a new challenge! I will be working hard for the students, staff, parents, and community to hopefully add to what is already an amazing school culture that focuses on meeting the needs of all students!''
