The Horizon School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Sean Dupuis as the new Assistant Principal of W.R. Myers High School, commencing with the 2022-2023 school year.
Mr. Dupuis has worked for Horizon School Division, in the Taber Mennonite School (TMS), then program (TMP) for eight years, teaching a variety of subjects including social studies, religious studies, and many options.
Sean graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2014 with degrees in Political Science and Education, and a specialization in Technology in Education. He believes strongly in supporting students with a diversity of learning needs, and consistently seeks ways to improve his practice to better make use of technology and activities to support and engage students in the learning process.
Sean has a passion for encouraging all students to reach their full potential while respecting, accommodating, and promoting the culture and faith that makes the TM program unique. In his time at TMS/TMP and WR Myers, Sean has served as a coach, a TMS grad organizer, and coordinator of a variety of annual extracurricular activities and events. He was also the Assistant Principal of TMS from 2018 to 2020.
Sean enjoys his time outside of school relaxing or traveling with his wife Kenzie and their eight-month-old son, Parker. He is an avid hockey fan, movie buff, and has a passion for board games.
Sean is excited for the opportunity to step into this new role and looks forward to continuing to serve within the TMS and WR Myers School community.
