The coordination of all ‘to and from school’ transportation services, through liaison with bus fleet contractor, schools and parents; ensuring applicable legislation is adhered to.

Administration of the computerized transportation routing and planning system.

Division adherence to provincial and national safety code requirements for all school owned vehicles used for extracurricular activities.

Coordinating the Division’s regular courier services to schools.

Assisting the Associate Superintendent of Finance and Operations with various administrative duties in the day-to-day operations of the division.

Coordinating all matters relating to the division office’s basic office equipment, cell phones and data plans.

Well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to take initiative and work independently with a positive and supportive attitude in a team environment.

Strong capability and understanding in supporting various hardware environments.

Intermediate or better MS office, e-mail and web usage skills. Knowledge of Versa Trans or other School Transportation Software an asset.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize a high volume workload with superior attention to detail.

Strong organizational and coordinating skills.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHING APPLICATION PACKAGE
GENERAL TEACHING APPLICATIONS:

- University Transcripts
- Practicum Reports
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

When submitting via e-mail, please collate your documents so that there are three attachments: a cover letter, resume and the supporting documents. Resumes are kept on file up to one year from submission date. When applying for a subsequent position, simply submit a cover letter.
If you are updating your resume, please submit a new complete package.

Horizon School Division is hiring the following positions for the 2011-2012 school year:
Hays School, Hays
- 1 Education Assistant - approx. 28 hours/week within the classroom and one-on-one with students as assigned. Position to commence February 27, 2012 and conclude June 27, 2012
Dr. Hamman School, Taber
- 1 PUF Assistant - approximately 12 hours/week in the ECS classroom. Position to commence immediately and conclude May 29, 2012
